The idea
Palmetto Token™ was created as a fixed supply digital token with a regional identity rooted in the Grand Strand. The project is intended to pair transparent on-chain infrastructure with an identity that is recognizable, place-based, and understandable outside of crypto-native circles.
The meaning of 73
South Carolina Highway 73's final incarnation ran along Ocean Boulevard in Myrtle Beach. The number 73 therefore provides a direct historical connection to the Grand Strand and became the basis for the token's fixed supply of 73,000,000 PALMETTO.
The Palmetto identity
The name takes inspiration from the Sabal Palmetto, the species recognized as South Carolina's official state tree and one of the state's most familiar symbols.
Open to everyone
Geographic inspiration does not mean geographic restriction. Palmetto Token™ is intended to be open to everyone and preferential to no one. Holding PALMETTO does not create ownership of the project, governance authority, guaranteed merchant access, or any promise of financial return.
Original network deployment: Base mainnet. Future technical evolution, integrations, bridges, or additional network representations may be considered, but the project's stated maximum economic supply is 73,000,000 PALMETTO across representations.
